The Alaró is located on the hilltop of Alaró at 815 m above the sea level. It is one of the three rocky castles of Mallorca (with the Castell del Santuari in Felanitx, and Castell del Rei in Pollença) that served as defense and protection of the island. Thanks to its strategic location ensures early detection of attackers.
The Santuari de Lluc is a monastery and pilgrimage site located in the municipality of Escorca in north-west Majorca. It is located in a basin on a height of 525 metres and is surrounded by a number of high mountains such as the Puig de Massanella.
A pocos kilómetros, antes de llegar a Orient, se encuentra el camino al Salt des Freu.
Es una bonita cascada de agua (en invierno y en época de lluvias) entre bosques de encintares y de muy fácil acceso.
8 km from Alaró, between mountains, is the idyllic little village of Orient, which retains all its charm and purely Majorcan essences of yesteryear.
It can be reached by road or from Alaró on foot, along the "Camino de s'Escaleta" route.
